We hope you have had a great start to the New Year and you are enjoying every single day as we are. We are going to start the new year where we left off, with a new label. This time however we are a bit closer to home with Adexe Watches, beautifully designed timepieces in London.

ADEXE Watches

So who are Adexe Watches?

ADEXE Watches was created by a boy named Danny. He was the second eldest son out of four brothers. Danny dropped out of military school and started selling POLO shirts in the nearby flea markets in order to help support his parents and the family. He carried on doing the job for 10 years when his luck and life changed forever when he met an investor at a flea market. With Danny’s passionate desire to start his own company creating leather watch straps, he received used investor’s money to start a small factory with 3 people and 25 later, that factory is now a workforce of 1,200 people.

His moto was simple;

“Try the best until the last-minute because failure and success are just a matter of a one-second-thought”

Later he teamed with his daughter, a fashion expert, and the ADEXE brand was created in 2015. Both father and daughter did not want to mass manufacture watches and push them in the market, but they wanted to create a watch brand which offered traditional quality and luxury, but invoking contemporary minimalism.

Each watch is designed in London and manufactured under the one roof with one mission to “Create Finely Crafted, Uniquely Appointed Timepieces at Affordable Prices”.

The bespoke workmanship and commitment of ADEXE blends to create traditional styles watches for the twenty-first century. Every six months, a new collection of watches is released to fit every style and personality.

What can you expect in an ADEXE Watches?

The Strap

Depending on your preference, the straps come in Hand-Made Mesh Band and Hand-Made Genuine Italian leather. The straps also come in different colours too. The strap also comes in two sizes, petite and grande. The petite band width will fit a wrist of 19cm and the grande up to 21cm.

The Movement

The movement of the watches varies. Some of the watches come with a Japanese Seiko movement  and some in Japanese Miyota. The battery life depends on the movement with some watch battery lasting 2-3 years and some with a 5 year battery life. All the watches are also water-resistant up to 3ATM.

The Glass

All of the watches have a Curved Hardened Crystal to give it a clear look.

The Casing

All of the casing are Hand-Polished All Stainless Steel and the size varies from 33mm to the largest 42.5mm

Our Review of the Foreseer Grande Silver

We won’t go to much into detail on the packaging as we have done an unboxing video for you to watch. Do scroll down to have a look.

Our first impression of the watch was, this watch is huge. The case is 41mm and it was pretty big compare to the other watches we have reviewed before. The curved glass really does the make the watch stand out along with its silver mesh minimalistic background and two sub dials, combined very well to create an elegant and classy look.

The casing was well done with a polished finish and the mesh was soft at touch. With a small silver crown in the side, the craftmanship of the Foreseer Grande is unquestionable.

Inspired by binoculars, the two iconic sub-dials serve as pillars of certainty and stability, hours and minutes, accuracy and efficacy.

So how does it feel?

We tested and wore the watch for a week as we usually do. One thing we hate about mesh strap is the sometime the hair on your wrist will get stuck in between the gap. That is why we only have one other watch with the mesh strap, DUKUDU Watches. But with the Foreseer Grande, the mesh was not an issue at all. It was very soft around the wrist and also sat very comfortably.

It did not get the way of the wrist and it’s case width of around 9mm was not an issue. The strap length was a bit long, 20mm, but with the buckle it was easily adjustable and also very sturdy.

The Style

We tried a couple of outfit to see which went best with the watch. We have to say that a casual look was the best for the Foreseer Grande. This is because the large dial gave a more relaxed look to it. However, if you try to go for a smart and sharp outfit, the watch will not look out-of-place.

Any Problem?

The watch worked flawlessly and the movement was pin point accurate with its Japanese Seiko movement. However we have to say we sometime had problem seeing the hands. As they are quite skinny in width and the watch dial are also close to the same size, it takes a while to figure out where the hands are. Just to be a bit picky, a signed crowned and a more creative back casing would have given the watch just a bit more oomph.

Overall, it is a good watch. It is sleek, simple and sophisticated. This watch retails for £119 /$161 /€134 and if you are in the market for a traditional watch with a modern edge and twist, you should definitely check out the Foreseer Grande.
