You must know how much we love watches here at New Labels Only. The last time we introduced the latest watch brand was Alberta Watches and people are loving that watch especially on our Instagram feed. If you have not read the post yet, we definitely urge you to do so.

So now it is time to introduce you another new watch brand. This time it is Karl-Leimon Watches.  We have had many watch brands from Asia especially Hong Kong, but now we have a brand from Japan! That’s another country checked off our world tour from the latest brand.

Never heard of Karl-Leimon!

You are probably asking, how is Karl Leimon? Karl -Leimon is actually the names of the founders of the watch brand. One founder is called Karl and the other Leimon. The two founders met at university and united together by their passion of classic vintage watches.

The company is based in Tokyo, Japan and are currently raising funds for their elegant and timeless watch collection on Kickstarter. So far, they have done excellently as the have raised 100% of their funding target and they have around 21 days more to go until their campaign ends.

So join an already saturated watch market?

This is question we have always asked when it comes to new watch brands. There are already so many watch brands in the market so why add another?

For Karl-Leimon, creating the brand was not just to sell his watches but it was created to solve a problem. The problem is that, many people long for a classic watch design that is not too simplistic nor heavily accessories. There are many watch brands out there who do have a classic watch but you will probably have to remortage your house to get able to get one.

So Karl and Leimon created the Karl-Leimon Classic Watch Collection.

The Features

As you would expect Karl-Leimon Watches have plenty of features. First lets talk about the casing. The diameter of the face is 38mm which is not to large and the width is around 10mm. We have had watches where the face is 42mm, so 38mm is much smaller but will definitely make it easier to wear. Inside the case they have a Miyota 6P00 Quartz Movement.

One feature we look in the casing is the back. If you have missed our AVI-8 watch review, their casing has always been artistic and this definitely make the watch more desirable. With Karl-Leimon, have not disappoint. They have a limited edition back casing design for their Kickstater backers and it’s definitely gorgeous!

Sapphire Glass

All of Karl-Leimon watches have sapphire glass. With a flat design and anti reflection coating on both side of the glass, this gives the watch a more aesthetic look and also gives you a better view of the dials.

The Strap

The strap is made of Italian genuine leather. The strap is well cut and the edges sealed giving the watch a more vintage look and finish.

The Moon phase dial

This is definitely our favourite feature. We have no clue what is the moon phase feature does but it is absolutely gorgeous. If you look at higher price watches, they do tend to have a moonphase dial and having one on Karl Leimon watches with the price, this is definitely a bargain.

What do we think?

It is all good to have this brilliant looking watch with all these excellent features, but is it any good?

We will definitely recommend this watch. One of the main reason is the price. Currently, you can purchase one Karl-Leimon watch for $179 / £131 / €150. For the price you are paying and the watch you are getting, this is definitely worth it. Also the craftmanship of this watch is impeccable. With Italian leather and created with the help of engineers with over 20 years experience in the watch industry, you’d be sure that this watch has been carefully and beautifully crafted.
